1 year later.... after a gnome update etc... Still the same problem

Which version of postgresql do you have installed locally?

Maybe this is an error with the local pglib compiled against?
The ebuild for pgadmin3-1.4.3 requests >=virtual/postgresql-base-7.4 but the build instructions for the 1.4 branch at http://www.pgadmin.org/download/source.php clearly state that PostgreSQL 8.0 is needed. Maybe this should be corrected in the ebuild.

1.8.2 is stable, 1.10.2 soon, 1.4 getting removed now.
