I can emerge app-arch/gzip-1.3.11 without problems. But it's gzip isn't working. So i can't unzip other tarball. It should be a good idea to give .tar tarball for gzip and bzip2 ;-) Because if i emerge a broken version of gzip, i can emerge an other one ;-) Or compress gzip.tar.bz2 and bzip.tar.gz then we can hope that gzip and bzip2 won't break simultanously.
It works here and passes tests (amd64); do the gzip tests fail locally?
It fails on 3 different gentoo installation (~x86).
gzip does work, paludis is broken. :) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 165600 ***
