Description Massimo Burcheri 2007-02-01 08:30:18 UTC
Dual usb iBook2:

2005.1 boots fine. But the 2006.1 stops at hdparm /dev/hda
I also tried with nodetect option.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. insert install-ppc-universal-2006.1 CD, start iBook
2. choose option nodetect
3. stops at hdparm command

The harddrive was replaced by a 4200 rpm Hitachi 80GB.
But 2005.1 and also the current gentoo stable using hdparm initscript works fine.

Can you verify this on 2007.0?
Comment 2 Massimo Burcheri 2007-05-14 19:42:27 UTC
No I can't since 2007.0 doesn't boot at all, reported at #178551.

Can you try 2008.0 Beta 1?

Please reopen if this is still an issue with 2008.0
