Description Martin von Gagern 2007-01-15 02:54:48 UTC
My Firefox (compiled version and binary version) opens a *.dot file in openoffice even though it has mime type text/plain and about:plugins lists no openoffice plugin and nothing responsible for DOT.

Probably this is an upstream issue (as the binary version does it as well), but as openoffice is involved I file this here first, in case it's because of some Gentoo specific setup.

Can't reproduce at all; try w/ a fresh profile.

Couldn't reproduce with a fresh profile.
Cleaning the cache solved the issue with my normal profile as well.

Probably the thing was delivered as msword the first time, file associations took over, and it didn't get outdated by a change to the .htaccess file later on.
Looking at it this way, it's the often duped Mozilla bug 198072, changing URL.

Sorry for the noise, and thanks for the hint.
Reopening to allow resolution as invalid in conformance with the upstream bug.
