Description Matt Tucker 2003-02-21 03:02:46 UTC
app-xemacs/ispell was changed to app-xemacs/xemacs-ispell because of naming
conflicts. Some other packages have dependencies in their ebuilds on the old
app-xemacs/ispell. The following packages need to be fixed:

$ find /usr/portage/app-xemacs -name '*.ebuild' -not -name 'ispell*' \
  | xargs grep -l app-xemacs/ispell
/usr/portage/app-xemacs/docbookide/docbookide-0.05.ebuild
/usr/portage/app-xemacs/perl-modes/perl-modes-1.02.ebuild
/usr/portage/app-xemacs/text-modes/text-modes-1.55.ebuild
/usr/portage/app-xemacs/xemacs-devel/xemacs-devel-1.48.ebuild
/usr/portage/app-xemacs/xslide/xslide-1.03.ebuild
Comment 1 Paul Slinski 2003-02-21 09:07:05 UTC
It appears to be causing breakage here. When I try 'emerge -pu --deep world' I get the following output:

[snip]
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating world dependencies \
!!! all ebuilds that could satisfy "app-xemacs/ispell" have been masked.
!!! (dependency required by "app-xemacs/xemacs-devel-1.48" [ebuild])
[snip]

I don't have xemacs installed, only emacs. However it would appear that I have many parts of the xemacs category installed without actually installing it:

Robert, can you check the status of this one?
Comment 3 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-21 15:37:06 UTC
Mass re-assign of really stale bugs; xemacs herd, please verify the status and
close them if these issues no longer exist.

Closing a stale bug. Reopen if you find more broken dependencies.
