This is a request for a new use flag to compile sendmail with the SOCKETMAP option (similar to add SASL support) to be able to check mailboxes in the cyrus imap server. This is explained in http://anfi.homeunix.net/sendmail/rtcyrus2.html Maybe it is also possible to add/patch the files in /usr/share/sendmail-cf/ accordingly?! I suggest the following changes: - replace /usr/share/sendmail-cf/mailer/cyrusv2.m4 by http://anfi.homeunix.net/sendmail/cyrusv2.m4 - add /usr/share/sendmail-cf/feature/mrs.m4 from http://anfi.homeunix.net/sendmail/mrs.m4 - add /usr/share/sendmail-cf/feature/mrs_cyrus.m4 from http://anfi.homeunix.net/sendmail/mrs_cyrus.m4 - patching /usr/share/sendmail-cf/m4/proto.m4 using http://anfi.homeunix.net/sendmail/mrs-8.12.11.patch I've no clue if any of this suggestions breaks other functionality of sendmail, but every page i've found on the topic "sendmail cyrus2 interaction references this changes to sendmail. At least the possibility to compile sendmail with SOCKETMAP support would help (at least me) a lot. Reproducible: Always
