I've got the same problem with version 2.12.0 (amd64), but the 2.16.0 version configuration and compilation went until the end without any particular problem. Note: Similarly, the dev-cpp/gnome-vfsmm-2.12.0 did not compile (but 2.16.0 was successfully emerged). However, dev-cpp/libgnomeuimm-2.12.0 is ok.
Same problem here. I think it would be a bit overkill to put my compile/portage/gconfmm-2.12.0/work/gconfmm-2.12.0/config.log here too since it's very similar to the one of comment #6
Same here. My info and confs. are similar and I don't have them right now, but just ask if needed. For the users: This file is a dependence of k3b and others. All my appz that needed this merged successfully after masking this version and merging version 2.6.1.
Bug solved in version 2.16.0
*** Bug 162090 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I had to unmask gconfmm and glibmm version 2.16.0 in package.keywords , is it normal? My last sync was on 2007.01.13 at eleven AM.
I have unmasked 2.16.0 in /etc/portage/package.keywords, since it is not yet marked stable. Indeed not "normal".
I did the same. This seems to be the way gentoo works; I had to do that for other packages too in the past... I think it's some kinda policy, get used to it ;-)
Sorry folks I too so long to take a look at this. I'll put up a list of g*mm packages and i'll ask for stabilization of those packages. Should be ready real soon.
