Description Alan Hourihane 2006-12-29 07:31:18 UTC
The current stable xserver will crash when using a dual head configuration and the DRI is enabled. As the second head will always been software rendered and not via DRI.

fix dual head crash

The attached patch prevents the crash, and is pulled from the later xserver repo.

Please apply and bump the to r2.

Thanks.

Actually, there are already -r2 and -r3 in the tree :) I don't think this patch is included in either. I'll look at including it.

I'm assuming this fix is present in the 7.2 server?
Comment 3 Alan Hourihane 2006-12-31 10:30:20 UTC
Yes, this is already in the upcoming 7.2 release.

Not seen a new ebuild. Is there one imminent ??

Josh, where ya been? I thought you were taking care of this.

I keep expecting 7.2 to finally come out...

Yeah, I have been expecting that as well..

I was waiting for the security issue to be cleared up before I took care of this. Also, work has been rather painful lately and I don't even know if my machine has been on for more than an hour this week.

I'm planning on going through our bug list sometime today, so I should be able to get this in.

Thanks, Donnie. As my Devaway says, time issues haven't improved much.

I've just fixed this in 1.1.1-r4, v1.9. Thanks for your patience.
