Description Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-12-26 13:51:09 UTC
We really don't need this for 99.9% of bug reports, plus it gets pretty unreadable lately... Two alternatives:

1/ Only display USE_EXPAND with emerge --info -v
2/ If you dislike the first one, at least please display it the emerge -pv way, i.e. separate from normal USE

Thanks.

Removing self from CC: list as I already get dev-portage@ mail.

I support this feature and also wish to see a return in the old behavior.
Mainly it's becoming to hard to decode a user USE= flags via bugzilla. Also the new behavior will waste alot of space in the new bugzilla for no good reason.

So my vote is for --info -v

In svn r5411 it's fixed to USE_EXPAND flags similar to the way it does in merge list output. I haven't made anything conditional on -v because I think all enabled flags should be shown be default. At least they won't take as much space now.
