Description Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-12-20 05:27:36 UTC
I've not added any arches, since baselayout-1.12.8 is brand new. We'll want it stable for 2007.0's snapshot, though, which is why I am filing this bug. Feel free to CC arches and all that jazz when you feel appropriate.

I am marking this as a blocker for bug #156814 since it is our 2007.0 snapshot tracker.

That version of baselayout requires the following packages being marked stable

sys-apps/module-init-tools-3.2.2-r2
sys-apps/sysvinit-2.86-r6

I'd prefer it if 1.12.9 went stable instead as after spending much time with dsd we had to make some changes to the way that 1.13 handles its service state data and 1.12.9 works with both versions.

alpha/amd64 done...

removing sparc/ppc since they already had it stable

Comment 7 Bryan Østergaard (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-02-14 11:22:53 UTC

Comment 8 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-02-14 15:05:52 UTC
It has been reported that this fails collision-protect with the new sysvinit. Can we get that fixed?

Thanks

Again, mips will likely want this done for 2007.0 and will want to let me know once this has been done so I can update the snapshot.

Closing because eroyf is too lazy to do it himself
