Description Amit Kotlovski 2006-12-18 15:39:13 UTC
After a couple of months having my system not connected to the net, I reconnected it and now I am emerging world.

I came to face many file collisions. I don't think I had the 'collision-protect' FEATURE set before (did it exist in February?), and this might be the reason for it.

Perhaps I should finish that emerge world without the feature, and only then add it. Advice will be appreciated.

Currently, emerge glibc ends with this error:
* checking 2378 files for package collisions
1000 files checked ...
2000 files checked ...
existing file /lib is not owned by this package
* spent 0.458558797836 seconds checking for file collisions
* This package is blocked because it wants to overwrite
* files belonging to other packages (see messages above).
* If you have no clue what this is all about report it
* as a bug for this package on http://bugs.gentoo.org

Could you please explain why did you decide this is a duplicate of that bug?
