the debian version of tcp-wrappers contains a patch to add support for CIDR/netmasks in hosts.{allow, deny} which our current version doesn't. we should really add this patch (maybe even some more from the debian patchset?).
Any thoughts about this? I'd really like to be able to use the same hosts.{allow, deny} files on both Debian and Gentoo systems.
Hey Mike, I saw you recently cleaned up the tcp-wrappers patchset. Are you interested in bringing these important patches into our package?
Anyone else?
Any news about this one? I emerged our latest tcp-wrappers with the mentioned patch using some post_src_unpack() magic in /etc/portage/bashrc. It applied cleanly and compiled fine. What prevents us from integrating that patch at all?
Is there any progress of including some of the patches into the Gentoo patchset? I desperately miss the aclexec functionality Debian provides.
should be all set now in the tree; thanks for the report!
