wxWidgets 2.8.0 is out and I emerged it just by renaming wxGTK-2.6.3.3 ebuild and changing the slot to 2.8.

I know. I made a few corrections to the release announcement before it went out...

Just bumping it to 2.8.0 and introduce all the problems that there are with the packages to the 2.8 SLOT from the start is not really an option. See http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.gentoo.devel/44736/focus=44737

Also, there already is a bug for wxGTK 2.7/2.8. Duping.
