It looks to me (though I'm just a Gentoo newbie) that include/linux/config.h has (as threatened) been removed from the 2.6.19 sources - and acx uses it. I was able to successfully compile and load the module by variously removing the #include lines for that header file, creating the config.h as an empty file or copying it from a 2.6.18 source - but this may be the wrong way to go about things as, under 2.6.19 my card will no longer associate with the access point. Someone else seems to have it working though: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-521196-highlight-acx.html

My wireless card can no longer connect to my network under gentoo-sources-2.6.19-r2 but it works fine with gentoo-sources-2.6.17-r6.
Please patch it in this way: #include <linux/version.h> #if LINUX_VERSION_CODE <= KERNEL_VERSION(2,6,18) #include <linux/config.h> #endif and ensure it gets fixed in the stable tree ASAP
0.3.35_p20060521 has been updated according to Daniel's suggestion, and marked stable on x86. Please test.

Please test. > Compilation OK But when i reboot i have a time out with dhcpcd service here is what i have (logs from /var/log/messages) KO with With kernel linux-2.6.19-r2 Dec 20 11:34:43 jehamou dhcpcd[7133]: MAC address = xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx Dec 20 11:34:48 jehamou dhcpcd[7133]: timed out waiting for a valid DHCP server response OK with With kernel linux-2.6.18-r2 Dec 20 11:38:52 jehamou dhcpcd[7139]: MAC address = xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx Dec 20 11:38:57 jehamou dhcpcd[7139]: verified 192.168.0.101 address is not in use Dec 20 11:38:57 jehamou dhcpcd[7139]: your IP address = 192.168.0.101
stephen, this may require porting to WE-21 for newer kernels. see http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux%2Fkernel%2Fgit%2Ftorvalds%2Flinux-2.6.git&a=search&h=HEAD&s=we-21 for some examples
does anyone find a solution for this ? currently im still using kernel-2.6.18
Maintainers, this is your 1 week advance warning for 2.6.19 going stable.
It looks like there's a new upstream version: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=31314478&forum_id=31812
Although acx-0.3.35_p20060521 has been updated with the patch for kernel-2.6.19, gentoo-sources-2.6.19-r5 has just gone stable and acx breaks again with the same problem.
