The summary pretty much says it all. This new revision works with 2.6.19, which is likely the kernel we'll end up using for 2007.0, and it also fixes the problem of requiring a configured kernel before building it, which is a blocker for Release Engineering being able to include it (without modification) in our releases.
The SG_IO patches previously used are incompatible with SCSI access to the CD-Rom, thus with the new PATA drivers in 2.6.19, and also had some trouble with 2.6.18 for some users. So please stable -r5 as soon as you have the possibility.

This is done everywhere but mips. They'll likely need it, but if they do want/need it, they'll just have to tell me to update the snapshot. Removing the snapshot tracker.
