Description benedikt-hartmann 2006-11-27 13:08:51 UTC
Well, I have Gentoo 2006.1 installed on my server, it works quite well but now I wanted to install the Samba server to connect from my Windows-PC.

But everytime I type "emerge samba" I get this error:
-------
Compiling utils/net_rap.c
Compiling utils/net_rpc.c
Compiling utils/net_rpc_samsync.c
utils/net_rpc_samsync.c: In function 'fetch_database_to_ldif':
utils/net_rpc_samsync.c:2117: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See <URL:http://bugs.gentoo.org/> for instructions.
Compiling utils/net_rpc_join.c
The bug is not reproducible, so it is likely a hardware or OS problem.

Maybe it's a mistake of mine but I can't find the reason. Thanks for fixing it!

Note: Before I reported this Bug I made a "emerge --sync". Now I got only this error:
-------

Compiling rpc_client/cli_samr.c

And there is nothing with a hardware problem. Again: Thank you very much for fixing that!

Random segfaults at different places are not an ebuild problem.
