Change of line 15 from "security auto;;" to "security auto;" removes the following error msg from the syslog: Nov 27 21:34:28 n22 hcid[12462]: syntax error line 15
I can't confirm this. There is no hcid.conf in my /etc/bluetooth.
Never mind hcid.conf shows up after you start the bluetooth service. However I still cannot confirm this bug. My hcid.conf shows security user; with no syntax errors given. Tested with bluez-utils-2.25-r1.
I've removed this package so I cannot give longer any information about this bug.
