net-wireless/wpa_supplicant-0.5.6 fails to connect to any AP. No configuration files were changed from the previous version, 0.5.5. More curiously is the fact that after reverting back to 0.5.5, I still see this same issue. Here is what happens after moving to 0.5.6, and using 0.5.6 or 0.5.5: # /etc/init.d/net.eth1 start * Starting eth1 * Changing MAC address of eth1 ... Another user in #gentoo mentioned that he got it to work with wpa_gui but I don't know what that is or how to use it. Hopefully he will comment on this bug. Yeah comment #2 poster just caught that.
