I have gotten a lot of internal compilation errors with gcc4.1.1-r1 and then some configure told me that gcc is not able to create binarys. The autodetect isn't particularly clever; it's best to set text/plain manually when adding text file attachments.
try gcc-4.1.1-r3
I think I got a broken version of my gcc someway. I resolved this yesterday (hadn't time to do it before). I took gcc-4.1.1 glibc and glib binary packages from a friend of mine who got the same flags as i do. Downgraded and then upgraded my gcc to gcc-4.1.1-r3 and now everything works.
