I recently upgraded to kde 3.5 and amarok stopped working. When I download the source directly and install it into /usr/kde/3.5/ everything works fine. xine audio plugin is detected and there are no mimetype errors. It seems that there is some configuration issue with the gentoo ebuild. There are a number of "fixes" on the forums, such as changing various permissions on files or directories, copying ksycoca from the root user to my user and changing permissions. Huh? How is bug 130052 a fix? I just installed and it's still broken. The bug is for 1.4.beta, I'm installing 1.4.4 and still getting the problem. please _actually_ fix so that I can 'emerge amarok' and have it work. Isn't that the standard for "works"
