After recent emerge --update world when my KDE was upgraded to 3.5.5, Amarok cannot start while complaining that it cannot find libamarok_void-engine_plugin.so in /usr/kde/3.5/lib/kde3/. The same holds for libamarok_xine-engine.so. However, these are found on my system in /usr/lib/kde3. Creating simlinks helps perfectly.
