The odd thing is, I re-emerged this package by iteself, and it installed just fine, but when I do the world, it craps-out every time. I even put -xmms in my USE flags, and it still does the same thing.

My concern is that There is a stable package in the portage tree that is calling for an unstable dependency -- which is apt to cause a lot of people problems. If am wrong, then I'm sorry about that, but I just wanted to do my duty and report it.

I can't seem to update my world as it stands without putting a bunch of xmms deps in my package.unmask/.keywords.

Thanks.

Comment 2 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-03 11:07:17 UTC
No, it doesn't depend on xmms - xmms flag is use.masked. Run emerge -NuDav world if you had xmms use flag enabled. Those flags will be removed when xmms is removed from the tree. Thanks.
