Description James Hiebert 2006-10-27 15:11:51 UTC
Any attempted use of 'emerge' for synching, searching, updating, etc., the program crashes. emerge goes to the "Performing Global Updates:" and when it gets to /usr/portage/profiles/updates/4Q-2006 it crashes with an OSError: [Errno 16] Device or resource busy. The full traceback is below.

Repeatable: Always

I attempted to correct the problem by removinging /usr/portage/profiles/updates/4Q-2006. emege at least runs after that, but the update in questions comes back after every sync operation and crashes emerge again.

The traceback and my emerge --info are below. Please let me know if you need any other info (or if this is a problem with my setup and not a bug).

~JMH
