ModSecurity 2.0 has been released some days ago. It would be nice if an ebuild could be done for it. This release support apache 2 and later.

Hi, I have made a quick-n-dirty hack of the old ebuild. I don't know if its of any help. All information and the modified files are avaialable from here: http://www.cqure.net/wp/?p=40. It comes without the core rules package which either needs to be added to the ebuild or in a separate one. Currently I have just copied the rule files to the directory outlined in my new 99_mod_security.conf //Patrik
Created attachment 102925 [details] Ebuild for 2.0.4 Based on ebuild on page above.
Created attachment 102926 [details] Config file for above ebuild.
Created attachment 102927 [details] Digest for above ebuild.
Created attachment 102930 [details] Ebuild for new core rules package.
Created attachment 102931 [details] Digest for core rules ebuild.
A better ebuild developer could probably fix these up a bunch but they work well for me. I am not sure in the core rules ebuild how to make it skip the src_compile without doing something in there, but I wanted the default -D CORE_SECURITY comment from apache-module stuff. Also not sure how to handle the apache2 USE variable since it only supports apache2.
When will this version be in portage?

mod_security v2.1.0 has been out for a while, so I would be interested in about this package. :)
Its still not in Portage :(
2.1.1 is out ...

I just commited this to CVS, should show up on your friendly mirror in due time. Please test the ebuild and report back. :)
