Description rajas 2006-09-27 03:43:08 UTC
When trying to emerge gstreamer-0.10.10 with FEATURES='test' the process fails with complaints about missing valgrind/*.h headers. After installing valgrind-3.2.1 gstreamer is build successfully.

Shortend emerge --info:
Portage 2.1.1-r1 (hardened/x86/2.6, gcc-4.1.1, glibc-2.4-r4, 2.6.17-suspend2-r6 i686)

Same issue with gstreamer-0.10.11

Add valgrind to DEPEND, conditional on USE=test

I think this'll do the trick.

Can't reproduce with gstreamer-0.10.11... i specifically uninstalled valgrind for this, the tests still compile and run fine (8 PASS). Am i missing something?

The bug was fixed prior release 0.10.12. Please see
http://webcvs.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer/tests/check/pipelines/parse-launch.c?r1=1.11&r2=1.12

Dont know what gstreamer-bug this was. But it got fixed upstream.

Apparently fixed upstream in or before 0.10.12.
