Description Anton Galitch 2006-09-15 15:39:26 UTC
Mouse moves fastly on its own until I press ctrl + alt + del.
It is a PS/2 mouse.
This is dmesg output:

psmouse.c: resync failed, issuing reconnect request
psmouse.c: bad data from KBC - bad parity
psmouse.c: Wheel Mouse at isa0060/serio1/input0 lost synchronization, throwing 3 bytes away.

Comment 4 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-15 16:02:11 UTC
Try to pass psmouse.rate=40 to kernel. Note that upstream kernel folks still insist on broken hardware causing this, so... shrug.

Comment 5 Anton Galitch 2006-09-15 19:32:38 UTC
I think Ive fixed it passing psmouse.rate=150
