I own an old Hollywood+/DXR3 hardware mpeg decoder card. The corresponding module em8300 loads fine, the dxr3 USE-flag is enabled. But emerging xine, which supports output to the dxr3, does not list the card in the available video outputs. Running xine in verbose mode gives: /usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.1.2/xineplug_vo_out_dxr3.so: undefined symbol: xine_plugin_info Looking at the patches for xine 1.1.2-r2 shows one patch affecting the dxr3 library and the info symbol. Patch 237_all_visibility.patch in the xine-lib-patches-58.tar.bz2 patch archive. Removed this patch from the archive und rebuild made the dxr3 output work. Maybe someone who really understands what this patch is intended to do can have a look into this. Following the content of the 237-patch, this patch was intended for a pre-release of xine-lib 1.1.2.
