I'm using an gentoo on a arm platform + uclibc. After a 'emerge world', python 2.4.3 got emerged, but without generating the /usr/lib/python2.4/lib-dynload/fcntl.so file. As a result, all emerge operations would fail with a 'No module named fcntl' message. I've manually copied fcntl.so from python-2.3 to be able to make portage work again.
