SMART suite controls and monitors storage devices uning the Self-Monitoring, 
Analysis and Reporting Technology System(S.M.A.R.T.) build into ATA and SCSI 
Hard Drives.

So if I understand correctly, the name of the ebuild should be "smartsuite", right?

A few remarks:

1. You need to ensure that the proper CFLAGS setting is used.  Have a look how I
did it in the ebuild.
2. You forgot to package the docs (README and all).  I've fixed that as well.

I've added the ebuild to the portage tree now.  Sorry about the delay, and
thanks for your submission.

 Well CFLAGS shouldn't be that important here. Thx for the docs tho I always forget that :)
