Current stable version of libptp2 (1.0.2) fails to build with GCC 4.1 (bug #118161). If possible, please stabilize >=media-libs/libptp2-1.1.0 on at least amd64, ppc, and x86 so we can work on getting GCC 4.1 into stable. thanks. ;d
concur with stable request. 1.1.0 has existed stable for 6 months. No bugs in gentoo. Upstream seems to have some bugs with specific camera models however I doubt these are a regression from previous versions. This includes a basic self test. If you have a usb camera try. /usr/bin/ptpcam -i Ryan - amd64 isn't required as it didn't have a previous stable keyword.
