As per summary, current stable version is likely not to work as intended on the current stable systems, I've added the -r1 about ten days ago that should probably solve the build failures. Even if a month isn't gone yet, if the current stable does not build, _please_ mark the -r1 stable.

krusader-1.70.0 did indeed fail to build
krusader-1.70.0-r1 builds and works nicely, so stable on ppc.

Built 1.70.0-r1 but it crashes as per: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1523135&group_id=6488&atid=106488

Essentially:
Crash after pressing CTRL-. for hide/unhide of hidden folder:

Press any letter (auto-search)
 press CTRL-.
 The application crashes

amd64: you might want to mark stable, too, if I'm not getting this wrong.
