Right now World of Warcraft requires a patch for memory issues. Upstream does not accept application specific patches, thus they will not accept this patch. People have been using a "wow patch" for over a year. I wanted to make it eaiser on people, so I edited the ebuild for support. The new ebuild has support for a new, local, "wow" use flag. It toggles the "wow patch." This should not be problem, since the way the "wow patch" works, it should not break any program, and I have never heard of it breaking anything else. If it does happen to break, people can always turn the flag off. If needed, I can maintain the ebuild, because I go to winehq.org twice a day to check if there are any updates. Thank you for support. If you have any questions, or if I can do anything to improve it before it will be accepted, that would be great. I will post both the ebuild and the patch as replys/attachments. Reply if there is anything else I can do. I know many people would really enjoy this option/use flag. After all, Gentoo is about choice.
Created attachment 91083 [details] This is the edited ebuild This is the ebuild. I added -r1 onto the end of it so people know it has an option, if this is incorrect, let me know.
