Description Rasmus Brogger 2006-07-01 13:17:43 UTC
I've set up an IPv6 only rsync portage mirror.
Currently the mirror only supports 10 connections, but I can increase this.
The server only sync's portage twice a day from, linux.rz.ruhr-uni-bochum.de.
Bandwidth to the server is 1 Gbit/s connected via Nordunet.

If you find the service working I'll be happy to sync from your master server.

I'll be on vacation until the 11-07-2006, so I can't reply/respond to any problems sooner. Sorry.

Regards,
Rasmus Brogger, UNI-C

Server now listens on both ipv6 and ipv4, tested and should be ready for rotation.

I can confirm that both IPv4 and IPv6 rsync from rsync://mirror.uni-c.dk/gentoo-portage works here.

Seems the rsync mirror is lagging but quite a few hours. Is is setup to sync twice every hour according to http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/rsync.xml ?
Comment 5 Rasmus Brogger 2006-07-29 12:31:05 UTC
Yes, I stated that in my first message. I've set the sync according to your guide, and I now use rsync.de.gentoo.org. Server is now updated.

I've closed service again, since I've had no response. Please contact me if you're interrested in a rsyncd for ipv4/ipv6.
