Description Padde 2006-06-30 15:25:46 UTC
tightvnc (vncserver) doesn't work anymore after updating to Xorg 7 on x86.

Apparently it needs "xauth" (vncserver: couldn't find "xauth" on your PATH.), although it hasn't a dependency to x11-apps/xauth. A dependency wouldn't help anyway, because xauth-1.0.1 is ~-keyworded, and there's no other version.

How to solve that?

No, it's stable.

Yes, right... I had an outdated database. Anyway - there are many more missing dependencies, as it seems. For example the next error is something about "rgb" missing, and the default font 'fixed' could also not be found.

Also add a build dependency on "imake, gccmakedep" to that list. Tightvnc needs to be rebuilt after an upgrade to modular xorg (revdep-rebuild), it fails to build until these packages have been installed - they don't get installed by default.

No, they are both there.
