Reopen with emerge --info and some errors in English. Set your locales to C when reporting bugs, please.

Comment 8 Ben XO 2006-07-04 08:59:18 UTC
for those who didn't see what i wrote on bug 138960,

removing the 2 lines

       cd ${S}/appl/telnet
       autoreconf --force -I ${S}

from the ebuild makes this compile, ergo that's where the bug lies.

It may be worth updating the title of this bug as was done with the other bug to show that it's to do with autoreconf

Comment 9 Emanuele Giaquinta (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-04 10:04:23 UTC
Can you please try substituting autoreconf with autoconf ?

Comment 11 Ed Catmur 2006-07-04 10:22:46 UTC
Eh, found the bug. libtelnet/Makefile.in has:

# @lib_frag@
# @libobj_frag@

However, recent autoconf(2.60)-created configure will not interpolate if there is anything other than whitespace before the interpolation; this needs to be changed to:

@lib_frag@
@libobj_frag@
Comment 12 Ed Catmur 2006-07-04 10:33:30 UTC
That syntax is in pretty much every Makefile.in in krb5, but it's only the one in libtelnet that is affected, because that's the only configure that gets replaced by autoreconf.

Add to the ebuild (at the end of src_unpack):

    ebegin "Patching Makefile.ins for fragment interpolation"
    sed -e 's/^# \(@lib\(obj\)\?_frag@\)/\1/' -i $(find ${S} -name Makefile.in)
    eend $?

I can confirm that with this added in the appropriate place , mit-krb5-1.4.3-r1.ebuild now builds cleanly. :)

Comment 14 Ed Catmur 2006-07-04 11:02:00 UTC
Great :)

This is already fixed upstream (in mit-krb5-1.5):

http://krbdev.mit.edu/rt/Ticket/Display.html?id=3950 (use guest login):

 r18249@cathode-dark-space:  raeburn | 2006-06-28 18:07:00 -0400
 ticket: new
 subject: autoconf 2.60 compatibility
 target_version: 1.5
 tags: pullup

 Change all file substitutions so that @-patterns start at the beginning
 of their lines, as now required by autoconf 2.60 (released Monday).
Comment 15 baso 2006-07-05 05:27:20 UTC
After adding to the ebuild (at the end of src_unpack)

    ebegin "Patching Makefile.ins for fragment interpolation"
    sed -e 's/^# \(@lib\(obj\)\?_frag@\)/\1/' -i $(find ${S} -name Makefile.in)
    eend $?

I get this:
>>> Emerging (1 of 1) app-crypt/mit-krb5-1.4.3-r1 to /
>>> checking ebuild checksums
!!! Digest verification failed:
!!! /usr/portage/app-crypt/mit-krb5/mit-krb5-1.4.3-r1.ebuild

if you edit an ebuild, you have to do

# ebuild /usr/portage/app-crypt/mit-krb5-1.5.3-r1.ebuild digest

to fix the Manifest before you try to emerge it again.
