Description Ippokratis 2006-06-18 02:00:47 UTC
If I enable the RTC emulation at the boot the system will hand while trying to set the Hardware Clock.

I posted a while ago another bug (#137142) saying that the boot stops when it tries to set the hardware clock. I disabled the RTC support

<*> Device Drivers -> <*> Characters Devices -> < > Enhanced RTC Support

and now at boot the hwclock fails

---

crete qpipe # hwclock --debug
hwclock from util-linux-2.12r
hwclock: Open of /dev/rtc failed, errno=2: No such file or directory.
No usable clock interface found.
Cannot access the Hardware Clock via any known method.

----

But at least it does not hand. And i get the rest of the system working.

-Ippokratis.
