The comment added to suidctl.conf when suid bits are stripped isn't all that useful because it shows the ls output *after* the bits have already been stripped.  If I decide it's okay for that file to be suid, I either have to guess which bits were set, or re-emerge the package (after determining which package the file belongs to.)

The simple fix is to gather the ls output before stripping the bits.
