evince-0.5.3 ebuild has dependency on app-text/tetex (when dvi USE flag is on), but there are two versions of tetex in Portage: app-text/tetex and app-text/cstetex (with Czech and Slovak support). tetex and cstetex are mutually exclusive, so you can't install evince if you use cstetex -- even though it works perfectly fine with it, because cstetex provides everything tetex does. The fix is to make it depend on virtual/tetex instead, as the attached patch does.
