Using the dev-tex/europecv-20060123 ebuild from portage, one does not get the same version as can be obtained from http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/entries/europecv.html which REALLY is dated 2006/01/23. I noticed this by pure accident. The function \ecvtelephone is not implemented with mobile support in the portage version. It works with the real thing from the link. One solution is to simply adjust the md5sum in /usr/portage/dev-tex/europecv/files/digest-europecv-20060123 to the zip-file from the link (MD5 6c9f7fb958cbf0e3d5bbc4a9c9a77deb europecv-20060123.zip 782627). After that I also have mobile support with the portage version, which now really is 20060123.
Maybe I should add something... simply changing the md5 sum does not solve it of course. The file itself is not the correct one. Of course, I did not only change the md5 sum but also replaced /usr/portage/distfiles/europecv-20060123.zip with the file which can be obtained from the link. I guess this is clear, I just wanted to add this to make it formally complete.
Hmmm... Fixed in CVS. ctan sometimes has a habit of allowing the files it host to change without altering the "version" (the date shown on their site). Thanks for letting us know!
