Description Michael Donaghy 2006-04-13 04:06:24 UTC
Currently dm-crypt mappings are set up by the init scripts before the console keymap is loaded, meaning I have to enter my passphrase with the us ascii keymap, which is uncomfortable. Could this be changed?

currently the answer is 'no, not really'

dm-crypt is integrated into checkfs/localmount which needs to be performed before any non-critical service is performed (like keymap)

having looked into this myself I can't see any really easy way of doing this right now, though I'm aware of the problem and would like to change it myself.
