Since march 21, udev-088 has been available, the homepage at: http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/kernel/hotplug/udev.html and the downloads at: http://www.us.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/kernel/hotplug/ http://www.us.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/kernel/hotplug/udev-088.tar.bz2 I'm running amd64 and I'll try to test it out asap.
Is there something specific in 088 that you are wanting to use?
I'm getting some warnings on boot about a USB device not being available. Sometimes the integrated wifi chipset (that's hard-soldered to the motherboard via a usb connection) doesn't connect without a reboot so it seems oddly random. In the changelog for 088 it mentions "fix output for USB path" so I'm hoping that will do it, but it's not really critical as it doesn't happen all that often (about 1/5) and fixes itself with a reboot.
What exactly are the messages that you see? udev shouldn't affect this kind of USB issue.
089 is now released and in the tree.
