0.8 is stable... Just rename last ebuild.
Comment 3 George Shapovalov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-21 04:17:22 UTC
0.8.2 is actually out already. Builds fine. Used to work fine, but lately 0.7.4 version (the one in the tree) started crashing on me when trying to check a diff against HEAD. Upgraded to 0.8.1, then 0.8.2, still the same :(. I suspect this is glibc-2.4 related, but this is an issue for a separate bug. (I'll investigate a bit more and open one..)

In any case the updates are there and work at least not worse than what is in the tree now..

0.8.3 is out and works for me with the old 0.7.4 ebuild.

New 0.8.4 release.
Comment 6 Vasilis Lourdas 2006-05-21 02:30:36 UTC
Copying the official 0.7.4 ebuild to 0.8.4 and using a portage overlay works fine for me.
Comment 7 George Shapovalov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-05 03:55:50 UTC
Ditto on 0.8.4. Builds and works fine. The diff crash was probably due to misconfiguration on my part, as now it all just works (actually this is on a new build with gcc-4.1.1 and --as-needed, but it also worked before on gcc-3.4 based system).

If Aaron or dev-tools people can't get to this soon I can bump this package myself. Should I just do it or are there any other considerations? Given there was no action for two month I'll give it a timeout of another week and then just bump it if there are no comments by then..

No comments, no more activity, so I bumped the ebuild + also included the (cosmetic) fix from #124967.
