Description Nick Fish 2002-12-27 10:24:34 UTC
Just a version bump, no real changes. Is my Changelog format correct? I moved
Rodney Rees' entry under "*nas-1.5" instead of above it . . .

Added.

Your changelog entry was close to correct.

First, changelogs are only updated with a developer's name/e-mail, since we are the ones making the change. If a user, like yourself contributes a e-build then you will be credited in the changelog.

Second, you dont need to list the files that were updated, if they are the "standard" files. Also, the lines wrap at 80 columns, so the phrase version bump, would go after you list of changed files, not one line below.

Third, according to /usr/portage/skel.Changelog updated to a version (changes to 1.5 for example) go above, not below the *nas-1.5 line. So, no Rodney Rees' entry does not go under. Personally, I think this is confusing, but until a change of policy if mandated this is the way they want it.
