Description Bernhard Ager 2006-03-20 05:03:26 UTC
x2x does not translate keymap names. This is irritating if, e.g., you are using a keyboard with german layout on a linux box and having a solaris machine as second display: if you type chars where the AltGr key is needed, it won't be handled. So instead of '[' you get an '8', and instead of '|' you get a '<'. Another description of the problem and a patch can be found on http://www.weinreich.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/PatchForX2X

A patch for x2x-1.27.ebuild follows, I haven't tried 1.27-r1 yet.

The patch from http://www.weinreich.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/PatchForX2X must be manually downloaded, gzipped and saved to ${FILESDIR}
