Of f-spot has been released version 0.1.11. 
The ebuild for 0.1.10 can be re-used and only needs to be copied and renamed. 

BTW, the patch as found in branch F_SPOT_QUERY would be a nice addendum.

I know about the release. I've been spending all my gentoo free time getting gnome-2.14 out, but this is top priority after that. I wanted to look into removing the hard dep on sqlite2 since things should work fine with sqlite3 now. Not sure how I'm going to go about that or about users migrating their db. Haven't forgotten though :) 

And patches from that branch won't go in, sorry. Once it is ready, it will be put into f-spot head. I've been following it and there are still a few bugs/quirks.

Finally my database is loading again!
Using ~ppc eveything seems to work perfect!
