Description Patrizio Bassi 2006-03-06 02:01:58 UTC
lapack assume g77 is the only compiler.

gcc4 provides gfortran...so it fails.
if you do a symlink the ebuild starts, goes ahread for some seconds, finds cpu flags...and after start and endless cycle asking $compiler --version

this makes the ram completly full, swap...kill...a pain :)

please check and upgrade the fortran eclass

The problem is not the eclass. These particular packages already have bugs filed, and potential fixes (not committed yet) at https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121855#c4.
