Description B. Keroack 2006-02-20 14:58:37 UTC
On my AMD Athlon XP 2600+ machine, KDevelop 3.3.1 (stable 3.2.1-r1 was also tested with the same result) crashes with a SIGSEGV when it is starting up (after displaying "Loading project plugins" but before actually loading all the project files). Immediately relaunching kdevelop after a crash results in it starting and running normally for that session.

The net result is that KDevelop crashes every 2nd time it is run. I initially compiled everything (including Qt and kdelibs) with gcc-3.4.5. I have since recompiled everything with gcc-4.0.2, with no apparent change in behavior. I am running it in a GNOME 2.12.3 environment.

Portage 2.0.54 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-4.0.2, glibc-2.3.6-r3, 2.6.15-gentoo i686)

Some broken library on your system, maybe you missed to run revdep-rebuild or did an improper compiler update
