Description Christian Fischer 2006-02-13 03:39:54 UTC
compiling glibc-2.3.5-r3 fails reporting a lot of lines of this one:

/usr/lib/gcc-lib/alpha-unknown-linux-gnu/3.3.2/../../../../alpha-unknown-linux-gnu/bin/ld: /var/tmp/portage/glibc-2.3.5-r3/work/build-default-alpha-unknown-linux-gnu-nptl/libc_pic.os:
TLS local exec code cannot be linked into shared objects

and a bottom line:

/usr/lib/gcc-lib/alpha-unknown-linux-gnu/3.3.2/../../../../alpha-unknown-linux-gnu/bin/ld:
final link failed: Nonrepresentable section on output

Reproduceable: yes, always
