The stable nvidia-kernel package for x86 (1.0.6629-r5) appears to be incompatable with the stable kernel for x86 (2.6.15-gentoo-r1). When I use 2.6.15-gentoo-r1, I get a black, unresponsive screen after 'startx'. CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE doesn't work, but CTRL+ALT+DEL does.
