the current module in portage is the latest stable and quite old, it works with 2.6.15 kernels, but panics are very normal. The developpers mention an cvs build for better support but the release is frozen since a year or so comes nothing and an cvs build is nothing nice its for testing but i need my notebook in produktive use. Now i discovered that realtek released a driver on there own, so it may be nice to have an ebuild for it, but I have no abilitys with kernelmodule-ebuilds. So please try to get it working, if testing is needed i'll could try it, but initially I need an ebuild first to test it. ;)
